Our Mission
The primary purpose of the Club is to: A. Attract members into and involve them in the Republican Party and subsequently provide them with a practical means of Republican Party participation, leadership development, and political involvement at all levels of government. B. Support the principles, objectives, and platform of the Republican Party and to help secure the elections of all duly nominated Republican candidates in the general election and registered Republicans in non-partisan elections.
Meet the Board
Federico “Fred” Gordo – Sergeant of Arms
Fred, a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico and the George Washington University Law School, is a highly oriented operations and management professional with a record of developing successful start-up organizations in the insurance and telecommunications industries. He has designed, implemented, and managed major operational procedures and systems for the healthcare insurance business, covering over 300,000 lives. He ensured this was done in compliance with all federal standards and regulations. Fred is a veteran who served as a Navigator in the US Air Force, traveling around the world for several years and honorably separating from the military as a Captain. Recently Fred retired from full-time work and currently volunteers his time in conservative campaign efforts.
Evelyn Bryant – Vice President
Evelyn Bryant (born March 11, 1967) is a dedicated community leader, businesswoman, and political advocate. As Vice President of the Republican Club of Sunrise, she champions conservative values and grassroots engagement. Evelyn is the owner-operator of SBG Printing LLC, where she leverages her entrepreneurial skills to serve clients with quality printing solutions. A committed supporter of local candidates, she served as Campaign Treasurer for Tom Vasquez’s bid for the Broward County School Board and as Campaign Administrator for Mery Lopez-Palma’s run for House State Representative in District 102.
Paul Bryant – President
Paul Bryant is a dedicated father and community leader, serving as the President of the Republican Club of Sunrise. As the owner-operator of SBG Printing LLC, he brings his business acumen to support local initiatives. Paul has managed campaigns for notable candidates and co-founded “Stop the Violence Save Our Children.” He is actively involved in fostering community development and cultural enrichment.
Rina Gonzalez – Secretary
Since 2008, Rina has been active in professional politics within local, state, and federal elections for Republican candidates, including being part of the Get Out the Vote team that got the first Republican governor elected in Puerto Rico this century. Rina has worked for decades in the field of federal funds and compliance, including research, analysis, implementation, reporting, and communications at state and executive federal levels. She is skilled in crisis management, nonprofit organizations’ best practices, and state and local government coalitions to promote public policy initiatives and legislation in education. Rina has kept an active role in politics, project management, and public policy in the area of education since moving to Florida in 2017. She is committed to promoting best practices to achieve measurable education reform and ensuring that public monies invested in educational services across the county, state, and nonprofits are transparent and accountable.
